Controller and contact
The data controller is Problem Solved di Emmanuel Caia, VAT IT02021680893, Via Luigi Cassia 4, 96100 Siracusa, Italy. For questions about data processing or to exercise your rights, write to info@emmanuelcaia.com.
Visiting the site
To deliver pages and protect the service, the hosting infrastructure processes technical access data, including IP address, request date and time, and requested resource. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the website operational and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The provider manages logs for technical and security purposes; their actual retention depends on the hosting service's settings and policies.
The language chosen with the IT/EN switch is remembered in the browser. See the Cookie Policy for this preference and analytics tools.
Enquiries
If you email or use a form, we process your name, email address, enquiry text and any optional details you provide: organisation, project type and timing, or website URL, issue area and urgency. We use these to reply, assess your request and, where relevant, take pre-contractual steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For non-contractual correspondence, the basis is the legitimate interest in handling messages received (Article 6(1)(f)).
Name, email and a message are needed for a reply; other fields are optional. Do not send passwords, customer information or confidential documents. Enquiries are not used for newsletters or promotional email.
Optional analytics
Only if you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and essential interactions. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Before a positive choice, the Google tag is not loaded and no data is sent to Analytics. We do not send names, emails or form contents in events. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled in the website configuration.
You can reject or withdraw your choice at any time through ‘Cookie choices’. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. The Analytics property currently retains event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months; aggregate reports may follow different service rules.
Providers and transfers
Hostinger provides hosting and email; the mailbox is also accessed through Outlook via IMAP. The website server is in France and website backups are in Lithuania. Those locations do not necessarily describe every place where email, logs or subprocessors operate. When you consent to analytics, your browser communicates with Google, which may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards applicable to its services.
We do not sell enquiry data. No external CRM or newsletter is used in the current version.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are kept for 30 days after the last exchange. They are then deleted from the mailbox, including Sent and Trash, with IMAP synchronisation in Outlook checked. Technical provider copies may follow their own backup cycles. If a contractual relationship begins, necessary data are kept for the relationship and applicable legal obligations.
Language and analytics choices remain on the device until changed or cleared; the analytics choice is requested again after roughly six months. The Cookie Policy explains Analytics cookie duration.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw analytics consent and complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority or another competent authority. Email info@emmanuelcaia.com to exercise your rights.
This notice may be updated if processing or providers change; the date above identifies the current version.
