The starting point

Goldwave sells vaping products to consumers and professional customers. The previous website already used WooCommerce, but its issues made the system difficult to operate for the company and difficult to use for both B2B and B2C customers.

The first task was not to add features. It was to identify failures, friction and dependencies in the existing system, then decide what should remain and what needed rebuilding.

The constraint

WooCommerce needed to remain the foundation. The project could not rely on replacing the platform: it had to adapt it to commercial processes that extend beyond a standard online shop while preserving operational continuity.

Access, roles and pricing

Registration and approval

Professional registration includes document validation. Access to protected areas and commercial conditions is granted only after the user has been approved.

Roles, pricing and visibility

B2B and B2C customers see pricing, content and site areas consistent with their role. Price lists and permissions form one model rather than a set of disconnected exceptions.

Sales network and fiscal rules

Agent platform

A commercial plugin was extended to adapt agent management and commission calculations to attributed sales. This case study describes the general architecture, not commission values or commercial terms.

Excise duty and tax warehouses

Purchasing rules include ADM excise-duty handling and the exemption cases available to authorised tax warehouses.

Ordering and continuity

Faster B2B ordering

Professional customers can reorder from their history, use a quick-order flow and save carts to resume their work later.

Cart visibility

Dedicated cart analytics gives the company operational visibility into purchase behaviour. No customer data or administration details are published in this case study.

The outcome

The clearest improvement is in day-to-day management: orders, product entry, role-based price lists, user validation and agent commissions now belong to a more coherent system. The B2C experience also operates within the same shop without flattening professional requirements.

Role and credits

I worked directly and independently across audit, strategy, UX, UI design, development, ecommerce, maintenance and technical consulting.
